The qurbani holiday united the refugees and helpers together. Traditional wish-merry-holiday session of IMKANDER united the war refugees that came to Turkiye from different parts of the Islamic world due to war.
Refugees coming from Chechnya, Dagestan, Syria, Palestine, Ingushetia, Kabartay-Balkaria, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and East Turkistan hugged one another fulfilled their longing, they were happy to see Muslims from Turkiye.
The Muslims that migrated to Turkiye due to war in their country and pressures on Islamic identities were sad to narrate the distress they experienced back in their homeland.
Happiness on the face of children is worth it
Refugee children, majority of which were orphans, were made happy to some extent with a set of events and activities organised by Nasreddin Hodja and clowns.
It was particularly emotional to see the Syrian and Caucasian children got to know one another and learned how to play games together. Children showed their skills on the stage, and some of them sang and some of them recited from the Holy Quran. The correct recitation impressed the audience.
Murat Ozer, the President of IMKANDER, gave a speech for the programme and referred to the distress in the Islamic world as follows: "So much bloodshed in our geography. Tears falls everywhere around us. However, the Muslims from different nations here today share the same objectives and targets in Turkey as they have come here as they believe it is safer here. Source of their sadness is also the same. This is actually hopeful for us. We will overcome the troubles together if and once we act as ummah. This lands us, Muslims of Turkey, with a great responsibility. We must prove that we are helpers as it suits our Prophet, and must lead to ensure the ummah rises again.".
Children were given pocket money, toys and chocolate during the wish-merry-holiday. Guests were offered treats. The audience showed great interest in the programme and they were all happy to be there, requesting that such events are organised more frequently.
