What Do Chechenians Pay For?

Interview with Kesirat Midaeva, daughter of Martyr, Spouse of Martyr, Mother of 4 Martyrs.

What Do Chechenians Pay For

What Do Chechenians Pay For?

The rush of refoulement and deportation against Chechenian people in these days after all these assassinations reminds the question of “What Do Chechenias Pay For?”

Emrah Tel / Istanbul

Fled away from Cruel Russia and Collaborator Kadirov torture, Chechenian Muslims are seeking asylum inTurkey.  It has been years since Chechenian people struggle for their life, they are deprived of any social benefits since they aren’t qualified as the refugees.

They couldn’t get any health and education services, they are deprived from the utility supplies and left all alone solely with the help of the sensitive Muslims.  They’ve been the subject of the news media and their drama was conveyed in the press media.

On the other hand, none of the public services has been keen about their suffering.

They are assassinated on the streets in the publicity.  Nobody has ever cared at all.  Deprived from their rights, Russian torture spotted them also inTurkey.

First came assassinations.  On September 6, 2008. Gazi Edilsultanov (57) was killed in Başakşehir in the publicity. On December 2008, İslam Canibekov (38) was attacked in Ümraniye and lost his life.  On February 26, 2009, Ali Osaev (48) was assassinated in Zeytinburnu.

Finally, Musaevi Berkkhazh, Rustam Altemirol an Zavrbek Amriev from Chechenia were killed with the silencer gun.

Now Chechenian refugees are attempted to be deported on any reason whatsoever.  Sharing the same fate with other Chechenias Muslims, Samet Emirhanov was recently deported toKazakhstanwithout notifying his family, even if he faces with the risk of being executed there.

Thereafter İslam Ganiyev and Fuzuli Muharremov, Imams of Azerbaijan Sumkayıt Mosque were refouled toAzerbaijanafter they sheltered toTurkeydue to the pressures against their Islam identities.  Chechenian refugees, including Amkhad Vaha Umarov, Uvays Abdullaev, İmran Midaev and Saidkhuseyn Abubekirov are about to be deported.  The public authorities continue undersigning the deportation without providing any detail information on their discretions.

It is wonder for what these suffered people are forced to pay.

Besides, it is interesting to see the Syrian refugees welcomed by all means while Chechenian families are suffered so much.

TURKEY MISAPPROPRIATES THE CUSTODIANS

Sad mother of İmran Midaev: “We’ve entrusted ourselves first to the Allah than toTurkeywhen we arrived toTurkey.

But there is something happening inTurkey, which we cannot understand at all.  There are assassinations, deportations and defoulements.  That is,Turkeymisappropriates her custodians. In a way, we are now under the cruelty of Muslim.”

She was a teacher dedicating her years to teach the people.  She served as the teacher for 20 years and principal for 7 years in Chechenia.  She had martyrized her spouse, father and four children during bloody occupation of the Chechenia by Russians.  She hasn’t left the struggle.  She moved toAzerbaijanfrom Chechenia in order to educate her remaining children.  Bu they were also after her there.  She was threatened and deprived of living.

As a last resort, she sought asylum from Turkeyby saying “We are the custodian of first the Allah and then Turkey.”  But she wasn’t comfortable inTurkey either.  Having wounded during the bombing while he was attending to school before seeking asylum inTurkey, her son will now be deported.

Full of sorrow, Kesirat Midaeva calls the mercy of the public authorities: “I’m tired and sick and I submit now.  I don’t know what do they want from us.  For God sake, stop that.  Why is the life so long? Let me spent my last time with my son left."

We listened the life of Aunt Kesirat with her own words.  We would like to share Aunt Kesirat's expectations from Turkish Government and Turkish Muslims, who has dedicated her life to the education.  First of all, we requested her to give her blessing to us, since we reminded her sorrow.

Would you first outline your life in Chechenia, how was that?

I spent 27 years in my professional carrier as the teacher.  The village where I worked was under attacks of Russians repeatedly.  The Mucahids were the winners even if Russian bombing and armament, thanks to Allah.  I’ve given my martyrs in due course of the war.  But I went on my profession.  Altogether I have 9 children, 7 boys and 2 girls, including my martyrs.  But all Mücahids fighting for the freedom of the Chechenia are my children, because I’ve raised them.

With Spouse of Her Single Child Left, Waiting for Deportation

DAUGHTER OF MARTYR, SPOUSE OF MARTYR AND MOTHER OF 4 MARTYRS

How were your children martyrized?

My first son was martyrized during ceasefire during second war.  There was a cease fire, but they were continuously chased by the agents and specific persons were assassinated.

They have broken the car that was taken by my son and his four companions.  While driving, my son lost the control of the car and they made an accident.  In fact, it was Hattab, the commander, who was in the target, but it was my son driving the car that day.  My second sun was martyrized during first operation when second war began.

It was about 2 months he was killed after he married and his son was born 7 months after his martyrization.  My third son was martyrized during a firefight 6 months after the martyrization of his big brother.  And we named the son of my second martyrized son after my third son.  My last son was martyrized during bombing of Groznyy by Russian bombing.

May other son wounded duringGroznybombing was brought toAzerbaijan.  He was then brought toTurkeysince the treatment wasn‘t possible there and he has undergone a surgery.  We went back toAzerbaijansince the treatments weren’t responsive.  He married inAzerbaijanand had a son.  Then he went back to Chechenia and martyrized.

We know that your spouse and father were also martyrized. Would you tell us about their martyrizations?

When my 4th martyrized son returned back of Chechenia, the agents spotted that he was there.  The agents thought that he might be with my father and they went to my father's house, who was also searched.

My father first resisted to be taken away, therefore, they first killed my father with torture.  Then they burned him, covering his body with the blankets at home.

My spouse came toAzerbaijanto see us when I was busy with the treatment of my son.  But he went after my son when he was informed that my son went back to Chechenia.  He was tortured heavily there.  His lungs were damaged. He suffered from the lung cancer and then martyrized.

MUSLIMS IN TURKEY RECEIVED US WITH ARMS OPENED

How did you get out of Chechenia and where did you go first?

We had hardly have an chance to live in Chechenia.  My daughter and two sons were still attending to the school.

We settled inAzerbaijan, for the hope of obtaining the education.  I found a job there and started working. Meanwhile, my children started to school.  They they've got information that we here there and found us.  We began receiving threatening phones.  First they made promises to us to persuade us to go back to Chechenia.

Then they started threaten us when they saw that they couldn’t persuade us like that,  They gave us one-month time.  When we refused to go back, they had Azerbaijani agents chase after us.  Then I was threatening at my home during night and kept questioning me about my fifth wounded son.  We left there forTurkey, when I realized that we won't be left alone there.

How were you welcomed in Turkey?

Here, Muslim Turks received us with their arms opened.  They helped us.  We came toTurkeytwo years ago and we hadn't any problems thanks to the helps of Turkish Muslims.  It was our country and relatives there that we were worried about.

Here, we haven’t felt out of things here.  Lately, the attitudes towards to Caucasian were completely reversed, whatever the reason.

STRUGGLES IN CHECHENIA UNDER PROGRESS

What are your sufferings recently?

The mücahids in Chechenia have grown in may hands.  They are all my sons.

Meanwhile, I feel like my son martyrized, whenever I’ve informed about a Chechenian Mücahid martyrized.  The children grown right in front of my eyes, children whom I’ve risen are in the fight there now.  First of all, that was the only problem we suffer.  But, there are something that we cannot expert inTurkeyrecently.

There are killings the reason why is clear, but we don't know how.  There are assassinations out there.  We experience deportation and refoulements.

There might be those who think:” Everything is fine in Chechenia and there is a men like Kadirov, why shouldn’t came back?" But how could they know the truth?  We know Kadirov and his           lineage very well.  We know who they are very well.  There is nothing new there.  The fight goes on.

Recently, our Georgian and Azeri brothers were deported.  Now, they seek deporting my İmran, who left Chechenia when he was very small, who suffers from the illness.  They’ve given us 15 days and wanted to nominate a third country.  They ask my son with all their might.  They will martyrize him If I let him go.

Well then, whey they are still after you even if you left Chechenia?

Now, I have three children alive.  One of them is ghazi and lives inEurope.  Other two are with me.  They don’t let my sons to go back and fight.

For this reason, they want kill them here or let them go to a third country, where they will readily be killed.  A third country may be either Chechenia, orGeorgiaorEgypt.  There İmran can easily be caught by Russians.

İmran was also inEgyptbefore. He wanted to have education there, but feeling unsafe, he came back toTurkey,  He is only 29 years old.  He cannot go toEuropeleaving us behind.  “I would prefer to go to a Muslim country, if I would have to go to the hegira.

The village school was bombed during Russian bombing to our village. Both of my sons there were wounded.  My cadet had suffered from partial paralysis.  Thanks to God, he is now well.  Imam still suffers from his vertebra.

WHY CAN'T TURKEY SAY NO?

Is there any risk for your cadet?

Meanwhile, they seek deportation of my big son here.  This is because he is in the target.  My cadet will be in turn, after deportation and killing of my big son.  In fact, we heard that they disseminate news about my cadet, saying that he has taken part in the war in Chechenia.  It will be my cadet’s turn, when they killed by big son, because they are determined to do it.

Would you tell me, as the one who spent his life for servicing for education, what is all about?

Now, it is Kadirov who rules there, he might think that his ruling will be forever.  But that’s not true.  So much regimes and cruelty weren’t for ever.  Putin was elected or made himself elected for the second time.

Now, they are ruling.  At the back of the curtain,Russiaexerts pressures ontoTurkeyin regard to the natural gas, in return the Chechenians here.  If it is so, then isn’t there any other places forTurkeyto make agreement? We used to pried also.

Russiatested all bombs on us, that is all they can make. They failed to cope with Chechenian Mücahids.

Except Moscow, everywhere in Russia is in the ruin.

Why we cannot refuse when someone comes up and request delivery of Chechenians.  Well, then why we the Muslims cannot come together?  The countries we know as being Muslims can make anyone left breathless, if they can come together.  This is also the power of the Allah.

The Allah has proven everyone that what is all about the power of the Allah.  We are fighting in Chechenia with our power granted to us by the Allah. Everyone sees that. otherwise, we cannot suffer such a war.  The power o the Allah will be with them if the Muslim get united.

HERE ALSO THE CHILDREN BEGAN TO BE ORPHANS

What are your expectations from Turkish Government as well as Turkish Muslims from now on?

When we first arrived toTurkey, we said: “we’ve been in the custody of first to the Allah and that toTurkey.”  Now, they start to kill and deport us here.

That is they either don’t look after or else betrayed their custodies.  There are innumerable orphans and martyrized women here.  Those who married here have had children.  But now, these children have become orphans.

What do we do if they further be deported? Turkish Muslims should do whatever they can afford.  There will soon or later be development here and at least they should try to stop deportations.  They should abandon deportation.  For the time being, İmkân-Der is the only organizations through which we may convey our declarations, apply for seek help whenever we are in trouble.

They should give their helping hand in this matter and show us the way to reach to the public authorities to tell our sorrow.  Why do they neglect us so much, aren’t they informed about our situation? They don’t respect to the rights.  It wasTurkeywhen our elders considered rescue. This is true also for us.

The Muslims living in these lands have always fought their religions.  For that reason,Turkeywas the first destination we have considered by our elders and us for seeking shelter.  Otherwise, we are not here for our comfort or relaxation.  We think “Turkish people is Muslim and they look after us” and we came here. But the latest events remind us the betrayal.

What is your conclusive words as a mother who have so many martyrs in her family?

I failed to provide opportunities by establishing a life of our own. Turkeywas the first country I’ve thought about for finding at least a comfort to my sick children, but I've chosenAzerbaijanto be close to my sons.

Then I came here when we began facing troubles there.  Now I’m old, exhausted and got sick of traveling the countries and fighting incessantly.  In fact, my health cannot let me go on further.  To be honest, there isn’t much time for me to stay.

Anyhow, the life isn’t endless.  Let me spent my last moments with may children.  I don’t care if they hang me if it is a crime to be a Muslim and fight for her country.  This is because its me who raised them as a Muslim.

I've thought the fight.  We came here in escape of the cruelty of the infidel.  For God sake, help my children and don’t let them sent to die.

Besides, it is real blessing for us to go back and fight for Chechenia, however, it is nonsense to be caught before to reach there and fight for your cause.
